In Armand BERBERIAN’s artwork, there are several distinctive features that can be attributed to Cubism:

1. Fragmentation and
Multiple Perspectives: Like the Cubist artists, Berberian fragments objects and subjects into geometric shapes and presents multiple viewpoints simultaneously. He deconstructs forms and rearranges them in a way that challenges traditional notions of representation and perspective.

2. Geometric Shapes:
Berberian incorporates angular and geometric shapes in his compositions, which is a characteristic feature of Cubism. These shapes add structure and create a sense of dynamism in his artwork.

3. Interplay of Warm and Cold Colors: Similar to the Cubists, Berberian plays with a combination of warm and cold colors in his pieces. This interplay of colors adds depth and visual interest to creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

4. Distorted and Abstracted Forms: BERBERIAN’s artwork often features distorted and abstracted forms, another common characteristic of Cubism. By breaking down objects into basic shapes and reassembling them in unconventional ways, he challenges the viewer's perception and invites them to engage with the artwork on a deeper level.

Overall, these distinctive features of Cubism can be observed in Armand BERBERIAN’s artwork, showcasing his exploration and reinterpretation of the movement's principles in his own unique style.

THE PSYCHOGRAPH OF ARMAND BERBERIAN

 ARMAND BERBERIAN:

An artist and deeply sensitive man, who knows how to work hard.

A psyche made of steel and velvet, with folds of rainy springs and rainbows, which achieves over the years, something wonderful: To experience each day artistically, full of what he possesses and loves, that is, Decoration, fashion, photography, the birth of artistic exhibitions while curating them, having as a last occupation, Painting with clear Cubist elements.

High aesthetics, quick perception of execution of tasks, beautiful result in projects and curation of group exhibitions. An indefatigable working nature, which combines elements that are so useful in society: Sensitivity, flexibility, agility, tasteful intelligent effect. If you look at the measured works side by side, you can see many similarities. That also shows a stable personality.

In the design, in the use of angular shapes with circular ones, in the harmony of sizes and in the combination of colors - warm / cold - and their tones. In this set of works, the shy, humble temperament is hidden by the angular shapes and forms, but it is also evident from their "embracing" and coexistence, the deep tenderness of the character, together with an innate kindness.

In several of the last period works of ARMAND BERBERIAN, the artist's themes show his clear beliefs as well as forgotten desires - dreams and searches of himself. Something that often happens with other artists, as well. Also those about Cubism (Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris, Fernard Leger), the School at the beginning of the 20th century, where geometry prevails, projecting logic, setting aside subjectivism, excessive passion and instinct.

And yet, the elements of the technique followed by the artist ARMAND BERBERIAN, - the rigor, the realistic perception, the disciplined perspective, bind harmoniously in the presentation bridge of each of his works, with other elements. Those of romance, sense of humor, tenderness and understanding towards life.

Something that is proven by the frequent soft tones - gradations of colors that coexist in the final work, in harmony with raw, hard or cold colors. The strict lines, the borders of each element of each work, also show a person who wants all to be clear, stable, and controlled by him. Elements in all his separate works, which are in progress, to be collected, of a life and experiences of a mentally strong man. Someone who has been tested from a young age, knows both sides of life, and has gained the wisdom to acrobat free on the tightrope of his dreams !!

Armand Berberian is a painter, curator and interior designer. Since 1979 he has been living in Paris.

Armand Berberian became a painter without going through an art school.

All his paintings are based on the same device:
A geometric pattern covers the surface of the canvas and follows the lines of perspective, creating effects of improbable distortions and depth as well as anachronistic forms of painting or decorative arts.

"Beauty will save the world", everything starts with loving someone his beliefs.

If the subject is a work of genuine art, if someone is really interested in art and he really likes it, the images that the artist creates expressing his emotions, will touch the souls of others and earn their appreciation.

There is no child who does not like to draw lines, so we can easily think that line is a natural phenomenon like music.

Music has had a great place and importance in my life. Since my school years, my fondness for music has also been known by the people around me.

Although I stil continue with this idea, these objects are reflected in my paintings as a purpose.

Painting is a form of meditation form me.

Painting is love, love is flow…

The artist makes his art to be happy. Art can be made for many pourposes, form expressing himself and expressing his thoughts to being used as a relaxation tool.

No artist experts anything but happiness from this art. If a person is not happy with what he is doing, Continuing to do it will only hurt. As long as the purpose of art is happiness, it will remain as one of the touchstones in human life.

It is necessary not to life in black and white. Because there are many colors in life and the brush is in our hands.
